“…Working at The BIS Services has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The organisation provides a unique combination of training, supervision, and development opportunities that have allowed me to not only grow as a professional but also pursue my passion for research in TBI rehabilitation. The BIS have always been incredibly supportive and I feel fortunate to be part of a team that values both clinical excellence and research-based practice. The opportunities Iā€™ve had to work on exciting projects and receive expert supervision have been invaluable for my career progression. I am proud to contribute to such a forward-thinking organisation that prioritises both the well-being of its clients and staff…”

Start planning for a bright future

Excellent opportunity to improve experience with working with complex clients with brain injuries and neurological disorders. Many of our staff successfully attain placement on clinical programs which they attribute to the excellent clinical experience gained during their time at BIS Services. There is no other organisation as committed to our CRAs career development as we are.

How do I apply?

You can view our current vacancies and apply via our dedicated Indeed listings page HERE. If there are no current listings, please do send us an email and a covering letter, along with your CV to recruitment@thebiss.co.uk

How do I find out where you have vacancies?

Our current vacancies will be listed on our Indeed company profile here.

What experience do I need?

All prospective CRAs must possess a degree in Psychology or be studying towards such. We will consider applicants from related subjects such as social science, neuroscience and sports psychology. Ideally, we are looking for individuals with some personal or work experience related to brain injury, although transferable skills are important to us, so we do consider experience that is not directly neuro based.

What hours are available?

We always have a variety of hours, dependant on your location, availability and client need. You will either be employed on a full time salary or on a minimum hours part time contract if this is your preference.

How long until I can start work?

This can vary depending on the client and your own availailability. References and DBS checks can be delayed which is outside of our control, so having a transferable DBS and access to your referees is helpful to speed the process up.

Will I be carrying out personal care duties?

BIS Services do not provide intimate personal care. We prompt and supervise some elements of personal care only.

Do you provide sponsorships?

BIS Services do not provide sponsorships or support visa applications.

Will I be employed?

Absolutely. We do not permit zero hour or bank contacts.

What if I am still studying?

That’s fine. Many of our CRAs are continuing their studies at Masters or PhD level.

I don’t drive, is that a problem?

Ideally candidates will have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car. There may be some occasions when cars are not required if the client is more centrally located. Our advertisements will make it clear if we need a driving licence.

What training will I receive?

You will recieve onboarding training which covers our mandatory modules. These include safeguarding training, care certificate, health and safety, first aid, epilepsy and other mandatory modules. You will then receive brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation specialist modules which include risk assessment and rehabilitation planning, motivation & initiation, insight, awareness, strategy implementation, fatigue management, challenging behaviour, compassion focused therapy and other specialist modules. We have regular in person training and team building days with case study workshops and mandatory training.

My degree is not in Psychology, can I still apply?

Whilst we prefer Psychology as a subject, we will consider applicants with other related degrees.
