LEADING DEVELOPMENT
Commitment To Progress
Our goal is to bring to the forefront niche and challenging issues in neuro rehabilitation, focusing on achieving outreach, extending education, and improving methods to help those we support and also collaborate with in our exceptional community. It is our firm belief that such collaborative approaches can deliver better results and prepare brain injury specialists to face these issues in a much more effective way.
We are always developing our internal and external training provisions, and our team would be delighted to deliver specialist topics to other organisations. Recent areas of interest have included presentations on ADHD & Brain Injury, as well as Fatigue Mangagement after ABI. Our CEO is the author of the Fatigue Management Journal, which is available here.
Pregnancy, Parenting & Brain Injury
This niche conference was tailored for professionals in neuro rehabilitation to provide a comprehensive exploration of the challenges faced with pregnancy and parenting within this unique context. Expert speakers, a client guest panel, and exceptional expert case panel discussion provided detailed insights and recommendations for working with families and children.
Research Project
BIS Services are excited to have launched our first research project in 2025, titled ‘The Efficacy of Cognitive Rehabilitation Support for Community Based Goal Attainment in TBI”. The team are currently working on data collection and we look forward to the development of the results in the coming year. All of our CRAs have received training around intervention reporting, which further informs our service provision.
Our Research Lead Caroline Seton and Research Associate Cam McIntosh will be presenting our project at a number of conferences this year, and welcome any enquiries.
“…What a thoroughly informative day. Nothing boring today – unlike some courses – and so much to think about going forward. Thank you to all the speakers.…”
pregnancy & Parenting
“..I genuinely would say this is the best conference I have attended to date. The balance between
educating members, engaging in conversation, presenting people with lived experience and ensuring
that the conference was appropriate for all professionals involved in working with a person with brain
injury, was really outstanding”
.An outstanding event – everything ran to perfection. Incredibly interesting day and outstanding speakers – look forward to the next event!…”
